Are you looking for a trustworthy, nurturing, and caring babysitter or nanny
for your little ones?
Yum Mum Tum (aka Gem) provides professional childcare services tailored to your family's needs, specialising with infants and toddlers.
Even if you work from home, shutting your office door and placing your newborn or small child into the arms of a hired babysitter for the day is a supreme act of trust.
I’m all about building a strong connection with you and your babies, so I can become a caregiver you and your children are excited to see.
I have been a single mum for most of my motherhood journey, so I understand the juggle and struggle of work commitments, needing time out, and the angst of trusting strangers with my most precious cargo.
ABOUT GEM
Experienced Caregiver with over 8 years experience caring for children of all ages, specialising in infants and toddlers.
Previously owned a beautiful maternity store, hosted birth and breastfeeding educational workshops as well as held weekly mother-baby groups. It was a very special business where many mothers came for a cuppa, chat and connection.
Now I study a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychological Sciences. My goal is to become a perinatal psychologist helping and supporting mothers and their babies.
WHY CHOOSE ME
I am a mother and I take so much pride in this role. I am patient, attentive, and dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment. I possess strong communication skills and ability to build great relationships with children and families.
I want to be the help and support for parents that I wish I had. Sending my baby to a large Day Care centre was not a good experience for me or Mason. My aim is to help your family feel relief from the juggle and struggle of life’s pressures.
I do not drink, or smoke and I hold a clean driving record.
ABOUT MY FAMILY
I am a single Mum with one 8yr old boy named Mason. Mason was a stage five clinger as a baby and toddler, he never wanted me out of reach and the little boob barnacle breastfed for several years until he naturally self-weaned.
Contact naps were the norm in my home for many many years and we have bed-shared all of Mason's life. I have always followed gentle, responsive, and secure attachment parenting. This is how I will also care for your little ones.
Every Sunday, Mason and I head to Nippers where I am the Age Manger for his group. We ride our bikes A LOT and you may see us regularly at the beach or walking through Glenrock.
We love being outdoors, but if home, we are both pretty quiet. I limit screen time, so Mason is usually reading, playing Lego, building an army fort, or trying to snuggle and cuddle into me no matter what I am doing.
